Mac Technique + Shoplog

After a long time we finally found a moment to do this: the Mac Technique sessions. My boyfriend's sister, his brother's girlfriend and me went to the Mac store in Ghent this morning to get some more know-how about make up.

The idea of Mac Technique is that you pay €50 for a 2 hour workshop, and afterwards you can pick items from the shop worth €50. The title of this one was Global glamour and it was about finding products that fitted you and how to create a complete everyday look (or just a bit more than everyday). So quite basic.
The setting was cosy. It was in a room above the store where two tables were set with brushes and mirrors. There were eight of us, so it really wasn't crowded.
One person (which accidentally was me!) was asked to sit in the front as a model on whom the instructor showed every step, but only on one half of the face, so I could do the other one myself, otherwise I wouldn't have learned too much...

Vrij basis dus.

This is the final look on my face. Can you guess which side I did myself? On these pics I already removed some makeup from underneath my eyes, because I thought it was a bit too heavy for doing everyday stuff.

I think it is kinda exciting to put such a close up of my face on this blog...
The workshop was very relaxing. We were offered water or orange juice, and chocolate and chips and could blether all time.
We were also given a note book (see pic on top) with pages for notes (on which we could write all steps and products we used) bus also some face charts with clear commenting on how to make them, plus clear face charts to make your own!
The look was quite complete: moisturizer, primer, foundation, concealer, powder, highlighter, bronzer, blush, eyebrow pencil, eyeshadow base, eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara and lipgloss. I'm always amazed about how many different products are used! (if you want to know the names of some products, just ask)

When the workshop was over, we could pick the items we wanted. I chose 3 and only had to pay €3 extra.

First the Cream colour base in Pearl, a highlighter. I didn't have a good highlighter yet, and this one was used in the session, so I decided to buy it.

The paint peintures, also used in the session but a different color now. The one used on me was quite pink. I decided to buy a more neutral, but very light color. This one is called Bare canvas. It was used as eyeshadow primer.

This one was also used in a different color. When I add eyeliner, it often gives a harsh effect, so I thought it might be useful to have a brown eyeliner, which is a lot softer than black. This color is Teddy (love the name!)
